Art Update: Elf Warrior
almost 8 years ago – Mon, Jun 20, 2016 at 08:33:56 PM

Hi everyone!

I have another art update for you guys. The Elf Warrior is all done. Packs will be ordered soon. I can't wait to get that started. Only two more pieces of art to go! There's still a lot of work to do on all of the novelty tokens. But progress is being made every day I can. Which has been just about every day since the campaign ended.

The wood tokens that have come in so far are keeping the studio smelling great.

Art Update: Elder Scion
almost 8 years ago – Wed, Jun 08, 2016 at 12:52:55 PM

Hello ever-patient backers!

I have one more art update before I dig into some commission work for the rest of the month. I had the chance to work on one more piece for you. The Elder Scion

I initially thought I'd be making it some weird creature. As I began the project I delved into the meaning of the word "scion" and how I wanted to portray it in my work. The word lead me on a path to the synonym of guardian. Guardian Angel came up as well and I liked the sound of that. I just wasn't sure my guardian needed to be one that helped only good guys. Somewhat more malevolent. Plus, I've been thinking about a new project that ties into it. Enjoy.

Also, don't forget to check out the Cameo Creeps. I just love the project so much I want to see it get funded. Check out the cool He-Man set and the awesome variant frame sets.

Art Update: Water Elemental
almost 8 years ago – Sun, Jun 05, 2016 at 11:41:58 PM

Hi friends!

Another art update here. I have the last elemental for the set ready for you all. I had a lot of inspiration from traveling to the land of 10,000 lakes for Pastimes GP Minneapolis last weekend with Jeff Miracola. Maybe you've seen our crazy photos on Facebook.

My model will be showing up this week to shoot some reference for the Elf Warrior. So, look forward to that one as well sometime soon. I'm getting super close with 4 token arts left to create. And still some work on the novelty tokens.

Keep enjoying the summer weather.

Late May Update
almost 8 years ago – Tue, May 24, 2016 at 07:35:04 AM

Hi All!

I've been pretty busy wrapping up a Magic assignment. Meanwhile, I've been steadily getting all the silicone tokens made. I passed the 500 mark last night!

Now that I have a bit of time, before I head to GP Minneapolis this weekend, I am working on concepts for some of the remaining tokens I need to create.

Here's a sneak peek at the Elf Warrior I'll be working on. The Elf Warrior is the last card I need to make to get the packs going. The rest will be singles. Some of you might be asking "Hey, I don't remember any art for the weird "Shard" card you were going to make." That's right, I decided to drop that card altogether and replace it in the pack with the Fire Elemental. The total will still be the same as I'll be adding the Golem to all the singles.

Why would I do this? I just couldn't see a solution to the visual and naming convention that wouldn't leave most fans underwhelmed. If you have any questions, just message me.

Cameo Creeps

Let me direct your attention to another cool project that I think you might dig. Chris Seaman has an amazing Kickstarter for some awesome wall bling. His Cameo Creeps are just amazing. You might know Chris if you play D&D or Pathfinder. Soon enough you'll know him as a Magic artist as well. Go check this one out, you won't regret it.

Art Update: Insect
almost 8 years ago – Mon, May 09, 2016 at 08:58:07 PM

Hi All!

This weeks update is the new art for the Insect Token. I painted a bee. It's been an ongoing joke with some friends and I just had to paint one.

I've also been busy as a bee making silicone tokens.

 Yes, they are all hand-made.
