500 Backers!

Hello Backers!

We've passed 500 backers and that unlocks one more stretch goal. And that means I have a few more images to make for 6 more tokens. I've once again reviewed my list and I will be adding the following tokens:

• Hippo
• Red Elemental
• Blue Elemental
• Goat
• Insect
• Drake

I will be reviewing the list of tokens as a whole and consider rearranging the contents of the pack so that the 54 set alone will be the best it can be for as many people as possible.

Art rewards

I've added one of my working drawings from my Jazal Goldmane card. And also the Tuskguard Captain is back up as a reward. People do change their minds and that's ok.

Kobold Concept

Here's my idea for the Kobold Token. This is part of the process, working up a sketch and value arrangement. You might also note a slight change to the card design.

Appearances

I spend last weekend in Philadelphia at the SCG Open. Thanks to all of you that came out to meet me and support the campaign. I enjoyed my short visit. Wandering the Reading Market was a real treat and checking out South Philly and see the famous Pat's cheesesteaks and stand in where Rocky did in the movie.

I'll be at the Grand Prix in Washington DC the final weekend of the Kickstarter, March 11-13. I hope to see some of you there!

20k Stretch Goal Unlocked

Hey all,

Another stretch goal has been unlocked. You guys are fantastic! I'll add to every reward level a mini-print of Ondu Greathorn with a detail shot of the squirrel on the back. Feel free to use it as a Squirrel Token.

Design-a-Token

I've consolidated the Design-a-Token down to one reward. It feels just right now. I can make room for more MtG art rewards.

 Sliver Token

I've been able to work on the concept for the Sliver Token painting. It will look somewhat like this.

500 Backers!

The campaign is less than 85 backers from unlocking the 500 backer stretch goal. That's an additional 6 tokens for a total of 62 (I'm counting those mini-prints!) Get your friends on board.

Quick Housekeeping Update

In review of my project I decided to make a few changes that I think are going to make the Collector Tokens better for everyone that plays collectible cards games. I've switched out a few of the stretch goal reward to those on the list generated earlier in the campaign. 

I'll be adding a Spawn Token, an Elder Scion Token, and a Squirrel Token. Ah! You noticed the extra third token! This surprise change deserved an extra surprise for everyone.

I'm really excited to make a lot of new art for these Tokens.

Hero's Blade Thumbnail Drawings

One fantastic Week

Today I was a guest on One Fantastic Week. We had a great talk today about the Kickstarter and campaigns in general.

Pete brought up a great comment about the cards when I mentioned how many I have to sign. I didn't actually show what this looks like and that I designed the cards for this. Here are a few prototype designs signed.

Exodus

Mike Hayes is a MtG artist friend of mine. I had recently visited Watt's Atelier in January to spend a week painting in a workshop. While there Mike told me about his book campaign. I just wanted to share the project with you all.

I've added one more drawing to the list. One of the working drawings for Plummet. It's pencil on a sheet of 9" x 12" vellum. Also, I've reduced the price of the Herald of Anafenza drawing reward.

If there's a painting or drawing you're looking for feel free to contact me and I can add a reward level with a that original.

So close!

We're getting super close to two stretch goals that I believe I will hit this week and probably around the same time. I can't wait to be able to tell you all I've unlocked them both. 

The campaign is less than $3000 from adding one more mini-print for a second squirrel token. And less than 135 backers from adding 6 more tokens to the set as singles. If you're able to share the campaign with friends I know we can hit this stretch goal with ease.

One Fantastic Week
